“You never know” With Real Madrid Move Imminent, Kylian Mbappe Expresses Desire to Play for Massive European Club
Kylian Mbappe is all set to begin a new chapter of his career after announcing his departure from Paris Saint Germain. The Frenchman will not renew his contract with Ligue 1 champions which expires on June 30. Even though a move to Real Madrid looks likely, Los Blancos have remained tight-lipped about the situation.
Mbappe while speaking to CNN said that he would soon be announcing his new club “It’ll all be revealed in a matter of days. I think it will be official soon and I just want to enjoy this time without a club” Mbappe said.
Mbappe also expressed his desires to play for AC Milan in the future. He revealed that he was a fan of Italian giants and watched all of their games. “Since I was a young kid, I was with a family close to mine, they are big Milan fans, and I was always there as a kid in their house to watch Milan’s games. So now I keep watching the games, but we never know what can happen.” he said. Having said that, pulling off that move would almost be near impossible right now for the 19 time Serie champions due to his exorbitant wages.
Mbappe’s desire to play for AC Milan is understandable given their rich history and iconic legacy. Milan claimed their first Serie title in 1951 and won two European cups in 1960’s. In1980’s and early 1990’s they again won consecutive European cups (1989 &1990). Then Milan kept on adding more Serie A and Champions league trophies to their cabinet. The arrival of Berlusconi brought financial stability to the club as they kept on adding titles to their name. In 2007, they got their 2005 champions league revenge against Liverpool winning 2-1 in Athens. Things then took a backward step amid the rising of clubs like Juventus and Inter Milan leaving AC Milan struggling. However the rejuvenated 2021–22 season bought the Italian glory back to Milan as they again stepped on the top step of the podium of Italian football.
Kylian Mbappe Career Stats:

Alfredo di Stefano, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Robert Lewandowski.
For French National team, Mbappe has scored 46 goals in 73 matches. In 2018 he became the youngest Frenchman to score a goal at the world cup.
