WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker made a surprise appearance at the Riyadh Season Cup in Saudi Arabia ahead of the game between Al Hilal and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

Ronaldo, who recently celebrated his 39th birthday, stood in line as Al-Nassr prepared to take on Al-Hilal on Thursday before the wrestling icon appeared. With his theme music blaring out The Undertaker wandered out of the tunnel at the Kingdom Arena, in his full WWE attire.

The cult legend made his way out onto the pitch, as both teams lined up prior to kick-off before getting his hand on the Riyadh Season Cup.

The Undertaker lifted the trophy before cameras cut to show Ronaldo laughing away with teammates, as he enjoyed the spectacle.

The WWE do have an ongoing partnership with Saudi Arabia, which sees the country host two premium live events per year, explaining The Undertaker’s arrival.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s deal with Al Nassr includes outside opportunities, with Ronaldo appearing at a boxing event in Saudi Arabia alongside Conor McGregor in December.

Even though the spectacle was worthy of its hype, Ronaldo failed to inspire Al Nassr to victory.

Al Hilal win the Riyadh Season Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo fails to score

Al Hilal came out on top beat Al Nassr and lift the Riyadh Season Cup. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Al-Hilal opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Salem Al Dawsari then made it 2-0 on 30 minutes as Al Nassr were unable to find the back of the net.

There were various Lionel Messi chants around the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, with Al Hilal taking the opportunity to mock their opponents’ star man.

Ronaldo then responded with a thumbs-up towards the crowd, before pulling out his iconic ‘calm down’ hand gesture. Ronaldo and his teammates will now have to regroup ahead of their next match on February 17 while they remain seven points behind leaders Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
