During a flight from Miami to Los Angels, Mike Tyson suffered an ulcer flareup and became dizzy and nauseous 30 minutes before landing. According to one of his representatives, Tyson was doing great and was reportedly ready to fight Jake Paul in July.

After the incident it was rumored that the fight would not take place due to Tyson’s medical condition but his opponent Jake Paul addressed the rumors saying “You love to make s-t up before knowing the facts for clicks/likes. Nothing changed,“.

However, Tyson said in a statement that he was unable to train after a recent ulcer flare up during a flight from Miami to Los Angels. “Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover,” said Tyson. The organizers have said that a new date would soon be revealed for the box office fight and the entire card is believed to be moved.

Tyson’s career ended in 2005, however, his most recent fight came in 2020 in a exhibition event when he fought Roy Jones Jr. Tyson is confident of a return and said his body is feeling better that ever and will be in a full training soon. On the other hand “The Problem Child” has a record of 9-1 with his sole defeat coming against Tommy Fury. “I fully support postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses come fight night.” Paul said.

Problems With Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Fight

Many boxing fans were not happy with the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson at the first place saying that the fight should not happen due to the age gap between the two fighters.

Another boxing legend Deontay Wilder also criticized Mike Tyson’s comeback fight against Jake Paul “I don’t want the last thing I remember of him (Tyson) is him getting knocked out by a YouTuber,” said Wilder.

Still, now the fans await the new date for Mike Tyson v Jake Paul.
