MLS has seen some of the top goalscorers play to showcase their talent at the highest level. Players like Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have graced America’s top football league with their presence.
Today we will take a look at the top 10 goal scorers of all time in the MLS.
10. Carlos Ruiz
Carlos Ruiz’s finishing ability made him a fan favorite in MLS. He has scored 105 goals in his MLS career and was one of the early players to make an impression in the popularization of MLS.
Ruiz started in MLS career in 2002 with LA Galaxy. But it was with Dallas FC that he made his mark on American football. The striker also spent time with Toronto FC, Philadelphia Union, and D.C. United.
9. Josef Martinez, Gyasi Zardes, and Dwayne de Rosario
All three players are level on all-time MLS goals with 109. They are still active in their MLS careers and can climb the list.
Out of the three Josef Martinez is the only player who plays as an out-and-out striker and currently plays for Montreal FC.
8. Taylor Twellman and Jason Kreis
Twellman plays for the New England Revolution where he amassed 111 goals. Kreis also has the same number of goals that he scored with FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake.

7. Ante Razov
Another MLS legend who played his football at 5 different clubs in America – LA Galaxy, Chicago, Columbus, NY Red Bulls, and Chivas. He scored a total of 125 goals in his MLS career.

6. Bradley Wright-Phillips
While playing for the NY Red Bulls, LAFC, and Columbus Crew, Bradley Wright-Phillips scored 127 goals in his MLS career.

Jaime Moreno scored 145 goals while playing for NY Red Bulls and DC United. Hailing from Bolivia, Moreno had incredible athletic skills and leadership qualities.
