Three New Young Premier League Signings to Watch Out For
The Premier League has been home to some of the best wonderkids over the years. Players like Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, and many more announced themselves to the world of football by lighting up the Premier League.
Ahead of the new season, let us take a look at three new young Premier League signings to watch out for.
Archie Gray – 18 year old
Tottenham signed Archie Gray from Leeds United for a fee of £30m. The midfielder rose through the youth ranks at Leeds and his composure on the ball at such a young age earned him a senior call-up. He made his senior debut on 6 August 2023 in a Championship match against Cardiff City and ended up making 52 appearances in the last season in all competitions.

Gray is tipped to flourish under the Ange Postecoglou system. With the sale of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and with Spurs set to return to European football this season, Gray will definitely get game-time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The 18-year-old is also versatile on the football pitch and can slot into the right-back position if needed. Gray impressed in the pre-season starting all three matches so far while playing in an unfamiliar center-back position.
His confidence and humbleness at such a tender age are destined to take his career to new heights and playing at the world-class facilities of Tottenham Hotspur is a major step forward for the 18-year-old.
Leny Yoro – 18 year old
Leny Yoro signed for Manchester United from Lille for a reported fee of £52m ($68m). The center-back made his debut in Ligue 1 at the age of 16 and by the age of 17, he was one of the regular starters for Lille. Yoro made 41 appearances in all competitions for Lille last season and found the back of the net on three occasions.
The Red Devils beat the competition from Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool, and PSG to secure the services of the youngster. Known for his maturity and technical ability, Yoro will definitely be an asset to Man Utd this season, and given his good height, he can sort out the aerial vulnerabilities that Man Utd faced throughout last season.
Luis Guilherme – 18 year old
Considered as one of the most exciting prospects in South American football, Luis Guilherme signed for West Ham United from Palmeiras on a five-year contract. A typical Brazilian winger blessed with pace, dribbling ability, and technical skills, Guilherme was among the top priority players for West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui this summer.

The 18-year-old made 40 senior appearances for Palmeiras and won the Brazilian Serie A in 2023. Guilherme was also on the radar of Barcelona, Bayern Munchen, Chelsea, and Manchester United but he chose to sign for the Hammers in the hope of getting regular game time. With Lucas Paqueta reportedly facing a multi-year ban for betting charges, Guilherme could well slot straight into the playing XI of the Hammers this season.
