Has Kylian Mbappe Ever Scored at Euros?
Kylian Mbappe did not feature in France’s Euro 2024 clash against the Netherlands due to a broken nose.
The former PSG star collided with the shoulder of Austria’s Kevin Danso resulting in a bloodied nose. He was forced to leave the pitch initially but returned just moments later and sat down on the pitch much to the frustration of Austria supporters. He received a yellow card for his unsportsmanlike conduct.
Mbappe has enjoyed a wonderful career so far winning World Cup at the age of 20. He scored a hat trick at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar only to lose on penalties against Argentina. However, the European Championships have not gone exactly to plan for the future Real Madrid forward as he has failed to score a goal in Europe’s premier competition.
Mbappe failed to score at Euro 2020, despite starting all four France games at the tournament. France lost out on penalties to Switzerland in the Round of 16 stage with Mbappe missing the decisive penalty kick.
Euro 2024 opening game against Austria extended Mbappe’s Euro goal drought to five matches despite a combined 18 attempts on goal. His next chance to break the Euro duck is on Tuesday when France will play their last group match against Poland at Dortmund.
Mbappe’s Record For France
Although Mbappe is yet to score for France at the Euros, he has enjoyed a successful career at Les Bleus. He won the World Cup in 2018 with France in Russia followed by a World Cup final hat trick in 2022 in Qatar.
He scored his first international goal back in 2017 at the age of 19. He also became the second youngest player after Pele to score in a World Cup Final when he netted against Croatia in 2018.

France are again one of the favorites to win the European championships thanks to their star-studded lineup. Despite not scoring in the Euros, Mbappe is one of the key players in every France game and we can expect that the Euro goal drought will definitely come to an end, sooner rather than later for the future Real Madrid star.
France’s next Euro 2024 will come against Poland and a point will be enough to take them to the knockout rounds of the competition.
