The Singapore Grand Prix is one of the most challenging events on the Formula One calendar, posing a significant test for even the sport’s top drivers. The street circuit is known for its challenging turns and narrow track making it one of the most fascinating races in the F1 calendar.

Marina Bay was the first track in F1 history to introduce the night races, a trend that has been followed by the likes of Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Las Vegas, and Qatar. It also holds the record of having at least one safety car appearance in every race among the current races of the F1 calendar.

The Singapore Grand Prix was originally held on Thomson Road from 1966 to 1973 in the Formula Libre calendar but made its debut in F1 at Marina Bay in 2008. Fernando Alonso won the inaugural race in Singapore with Renault. In recent years, Ferrari has established itself as the dominant team in Singapore, with Sebastian Vettel claiming victory in 2019 and Carlos Sainz taking the win in the most recent race in 2023. Ironically, Sainz’s win last season at Singapore was the sole non-RedBull win of the entire season.

There are only 3 multiple winners of the Singapore Grand Prix with Nico Rosberg (2016), Sergio Perez (2022), and Carlos Sainz (2013) all winning it once.
