Bangladesh finally posted a massive total of, 321-5, featuring four half-centuries. However, the hosts recovered from a shaky start to complete a composed chase, reaching 325-6 with four overs remaining. The highest successful ODI run chase at Warner Park also became the third-highest in West Indies’ ODI history.

The West Indies still required 104 runs from 100 deliveries, as Jangoo stepped up and smashed 104 off 83 balls, It was the second-highest score by a West Indian male on an ODI debut, following Desmond Haynes’ 148 against Australia in 1978.
Gudakesh Motie finished things off for his team with 44 off 31 balls, since the series was secured Jangoo made his debut after scoring a lot of runs for Trinidad and Tobago over the past six months.
However, Carry and Jangoo had some luck and were dropped, And later Bangladesh paid the price for their sloppy fielding. Jangoo and Motie maintained the required run rate until victory was within reach.
“It is surreal, an amazing feeling,” Jangoo said. “I just did not want to make a duck on debut. He (Carty) is a close friend of mine, made it easy for me.”
West Indies picked two quick wickets and looked in complete control until Mehidy Hasan Raza and Soumya Sarkar contributed 136 runs to the team’s total. Mahmudullah and Jaker Ali also formed an excellent partnership of 150 runs which helped Bangladesh put in a massive score of 321 runs.
West Indies skipper said in the press conference, “This is a big step in the right direction. We were challenged, we found ways to improve in every game. (On testing their bench strength) It’s a very thin line, you always want to give opportunities to guys at this level to see what they are capable of. Very happy to see the guys playing good cricket today. (On Amir Jangoo) He was amazing, he is showing great form since the last two months. Just the way he played in that situation after we lost a few wickets, it was great. In the past, we haven’t been winning series clinically. We spoke to the boys about 3-0 before and it’s good that we finished the series like this”.
