IPL 2024 Prize Money: How Much Did KKR Earn After Winning the Title?

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 ended on an impressive win by Kolkata Knight Riders , clinching their third title beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets.

With Shahrukh Khan co-owner, Gautam Gambhir a dauntless head coach and Shreyas Iyer a committed captain, KKR tagged themselves as the champions of the season. Under Gambhir’s leadership KKR has won the title back in 2012 and 2014 as well. 

KKR, the champions of the season mustered the prize money of INR 20 crore. Runner-up SRH got Rs 13 crore as the prize money. BCCI had announced the prize money for the occasion-INR 46.5 crore to be distributed among the deserving winners and the runners-up.

PRIZE WINNERS OF IPL 2024

Finishing as 3rd and 4th on the points table, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru respectively, with Sanju Samson bagging Rs 7 crore while Faf du Plessis’ team got INR 6.5 crore.

Orange cap: Collecting 741 runs in the Indian Premier League, Virat Kohli won the orange cap and a prize money of Rs 10 lakh. 

Purple Cap: Purple cap earned by Punjab Kings’ Harshal Patel with 24 wickets and a prize money of Rs 10 lakh.

Most Valuable Player of the season:  The KKR’s experienced Sunil Narine won the prize money of Rs 12 lakh.

Emerging Player of the season: On the other side Sunriser’s  Nitish Kumar Reddy got the money of Rs 20 lakh.

Other important accolades of the season were:

Travis Head fetched most number of 4s (64) and Abhishek Sharma , most number of 6s (42).

Striker of the season: Jake Fraser-McGurk with a run-strike of 234.04.

Fair Play Award: The award was fairly handed over to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
