In the first semi final, South Africa defeated Afghanistan. Afghanistan was bundled out at a low score of 56 and in the next innings, South Africa won by 9 wickets with 67 balls to spare.

And in the second semi final, India faced defending champions England. Batting first India posted a total of 171 runs. While chasing the target, England were bowled out for 103 in 16.4 overs.
