Babar Azam Eyes Rohit Sharma After Overtaking Virat Kohli for Most Runs in T20Is

Babar Azam, Pakistan’s star batsman has recently been the talk of town regarding his awful test form. He has gone 18 innings without scoring a half-century in test cricket. But his T20 stats are quite contrary, with his 41-run stand against Australia he overtook Virat Kohli, who has finished his T20I career with 4188 runs in T20 internationals from 125 innings, Babar now has 4191 runs in 126 innings making him the second batsman in the list of highest run scorers in T20Is after the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, who has 4231 runs from 156 innings, for the most runs in T20 internationals. After the retirement of Sharma from the T20Is Azam will soon surpass him in the list.

Babar Azam is Pakistan’s most capped player in T20I having played 126 matches, while Shoaib Malik is trailing behind Babar, who has been capped for 123 matches.
Pakistan’s star player, Babar Azam has three T20I tons, the most by any Pakistani player. The three tons were against England, South Africa, and New Zealand.

Babar Azam was not picked for the Zimbabwe tour will play his next T20I against South Africa on 10 December 2024. Pakistan will tour South Africa for 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and two test matches.
