Rapper Drake Gets Richer by 3.53 Crores After Placing a bet on KKR to Win IPL 2024
Drake, the multiple Grammy-winning Canadian rapper, is known for making huge bets in different sports like basketball, American Football, or soccer.
Recently he made his first ever cricket bet- massive USD 250,000 (INR 2.07 crore approx) on Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) winning the IPL 2024 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Drake took it to instagram, sharing the screenshot alongwith the KKR’s catchline, “Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo” showing odds of 1.70 for a win.
With KKR’s victory, Drake has won US$ 425,000 (INR 3.53 crore approx), according to the receipt he posted.
KKR overcame SRH in the IPL 2024 final by 8 wickets while chasing a paltry 113 runs to win. This marked KKR’s third IPL title having previously won the league in 2012 and 2014.
Captain Shreyas Iyer became the fifth Indian to lead an IPL side to title, while it was a third IPL title for KKR’s mentor Gautam Gambhir, having previously captained KKR to their two titles.
