WWE will crown the new King and Queen of the Ring this Saturday. The finals are set to take place at the King and Queen of the Ring event in Jeddah Saudi Arabia at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
King of the Ring final
Gunther and Randy Orton will face off in the King of the Ring final in Jeddah on Saturday. Gunther defeated Sheamus in his first round and overcame Kofi Kingston in the quarter final. In the semi-final, Gunther defeated Jey Uso to reach the final.
Randy Orton defeated AJ Styles in his first round. In the quarter final Randy defeated Carmelo Hayes and in the semi-finals, he overcame Tama Tonga.
Queen of the Ring final
In the marquee event, Lyra Valkyria will clash with Nia Jax in the final. Lyra Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai in the first round of the tournament and in the quarter-final, Lyra overcame Zoey Stark. This set a semi-final round against Iyo Sky which she emerged victorious in this week’s Monday Night Raw.
Lyra’s opponent Nia Jax defeated Naomi in her first round. In her quarter final round, she defeated Jade Cargill. In this week’s semi-final at Friday Night Smackdown Nia defeated Bianca Blair.
WWE King and Queen of the Ring winners to earn world title shots at SummerSlam
Triple H confirmed during his WWE experience in Saudi Arabia that the winners of WWE King and Queen of the Ring will get world title opportunities in their respective brands at Summerslam in Cleveland. This means the stakes are elevated for the WWE King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments and a lot is on the line this Saturday in Jeddah.
