Boston Celtics defeated Indiana Pacers 105-102 in Game 4 to take the playoff finals 4-0 reaching the NBA finals yet again.

The Celtics were more or less untroubled throughout the whole series and will now face Dallas or Minnesota in the NBA finals. The Mavericks are leading that particular battle 3-0 ahead of Game 4 on Tuesday.

After defeating Pacers, Al Horford was quick to remind his team that things were far from done in this year’s championship “Our mindset is very clear, We need to finish.” he said

NBA Championships: Celtics History

The Celtics are no strangers to NBA titles having an impressive record of 17 NBA championship victories in their history. One more championship would mean they overtake the LA Lakers ( who are also on 17 championships currently) for the most NBA titles in history. Celtics 11 championships in 13 years including eight in a row under the leadership of Bill Russell is still considered the most dominant era in NBA history.

Celtics won their last NBA championship in 2008 against Los Angels Lakers. Boston emerged victorious in the 7 match series by 4-2 with the scores 98-88(W), 108-102(W), 81-87(L), 97-91(W), 98-103(L), 131-92(W). This victory had tied the record for most championships in NBA history with Celtics and Lakers both winning 17. In the finals Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce played a key role in Celtics championship finals. This championship was their first in 22 years.

Celtics’ last appearance in the final was in 2022 when they lost by 2-4 in the seven match series against Gold State Warriors.

This season’s finals will begin on June 6 with Celtics having the home advantage in Game 1.
