10. Dignity Health Sports Park – 27,000 capacity 

Dignity Health Sports Park is located in Carson, California, and was opened in the 2003 season. It is home to the Los Angeles Galaxy. The Stadium was modernized in 2017, increasing its capacity.

Dignity Health Sports Park is one of the oldest stadiums in the MLS. It also played host to NFL games of Los Angeles Chargers temporarily.

9. BMO Field – 30,000 capacity 

BMO Field is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The stadium was opened in 2007 and had an initial capacity of 25,000. It was later upgraded to 30,000. It is also the current home to the Canada men’s national soccer team.

The stadium is also set to host matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It will undergo a $37 million investment for the World Cup.

8. Geodis Park – 30,000 capacity

Geodis Park is the most recently opened stadium in the MLS and is home to Nashville SC. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Geodis Park is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the MLS.

Ironically, Lionel Messi won his first trophy in the USA at the Geodis Park when Inter Miami beat Nashville in the 2023 Leagues’s Cup final.

7. Yankee Stadium – 47,309 capacity

Yankee Stadium is located in the Bronx, New York. Primarily a baseball stadium, Yankee Stadium has been adapted for soccer and is home to New York City FC in the MLS. The fans reportedly face difficulty in watching football matches from certain distances in this stadium.

NYCFC intends to leave Yankee Stadium and move to the New York City FC Stadium in Willets Point. However, the construction of the new stadium will not be complete until 2027.

6. BC Place – 54,500 capacity

Vancouver Whitecaps play their home matches at the BC Place. The stadium was opened in 1983 and has undergone several renovations. It also has a retractable roof which makes the viewing experience of the game extremely pleasant.

5. Soldier Field – 61,500 capacity

Soldier Field is a multi-purpose stadium in Chicago, Illinois, and has been home to the Chicago Fire for nine years. Chicago played its home games at Soldier Field from 1998-2005 and returned to the stadium in 2020.

This stadium also famously hosts a few games of the NFL season. Soldier Field is named in memory of US soldiers who died in combat.

4. Gillette Stadium – 65,878 capacity

3. Lumen Field – 69,000 capacity

Lumen Field is located in Seattle, Washington. It was opened in 2002 and is home to Seattle Sounders FC in the MLS. Lumen Field is known for its electrifying atmosphere during soccer matches.

It has a capacity of 69,000 during the NFL games but the capacity drops down to 37,722 for soccer games.
