The 2024/25 season of the Premier League is set to begin on 16 August and the clubs are in full preparation in trying to find the right balance in their squads. Once again the Premier League will showcase some of the best goalscorers around the world taking center stage in the hope of guiding their side to their respective goals.

Ahead of the new season, let us predict the possible Golden Boot winners of the Premier League 2024/25.

Erling Haaland

Erling Halaand is often regarded as one of the most complete strikers in modern-day football. His pace, physicality, and lethal finishing make the Norwegian a defender’s nightmare. Haaland burst onto the scene in English football winning two consecutive Golden Boots in a row. In his first season in England, he scored 36 goals in the league followed by 27 goals in 31 matches in the next campaign.

Given the talent on show at Man City and with Kevin De Bryune likely to stay this season, Haaland will again be tipped to win the Golden Boot Award for the third consecutive season.

Mohammad Salah

Since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, Mohammad Salah helped Liverpool to return to their old glory days. He played a pivotal role in Liverpool winning the Champions League in 2018-19 and Premier League in 2019-20. The Egyptian has already won the Golden Boot thrice in the Premier League (2017–18, 2018–19 and 2021-22).

The arrival of Arne Slot will mark the beginning of a new era at Liverpool. Given Slot’s style of play at Feyenoord, it is possible that the 32-year-old could be deployed as a False 9 to give him the freedom to roam around the pitch, potentially making him even more threatening in front of goal.

Ivan Toney

Ivan Toney’s transfer saga has taken a latest turn as the England international is willing to run down his contract and leave on a free transfer next summer as reported by talkSPORT. Toney has enjoyed a successful time at the Bees’ scoring 36 goals in the Premier League.

Toney has been heavily linked with two North London clubs – Arsenal and Tottenham. As Tottenham still looks like the likely destination for Toney, he is predicted to thrive under Ange Postecoglou’s system given their style of play. He can form a formidable front four at Spurs with Son, Maddison, and Kulusevski around him and may finally be the full-time replacement for Harry Kane.

Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins’ goals helped fire Aston Villa to the Champions League this season. Watkins scored 19 goals last season and assisted another 13. The ever-reliable striker was also in England’s Euro 2024 squad but struggled for game time.

Watkins will look to continue from where he left off last season and with Champions League football coming to Villa Park for the first time (since it was rebranded in 1992), the excitement at the club is on an all-time high. Watkins will again be the main man for Villians as he looks to win his first Premier League Golden Boot of his career.

Buyako Saka

Arsenal are again the force to be reckoned with in the Premier League. They narrowly missed on the title last season finishing runners-up to Manchester City. Saka was again their go-to man last season scoring 16 goals and making 9 assists and this season the 22-year-old will again have the responsibility of finding the back of the net for the Gunners, especially with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah facing uncertain futures at the club.

Saka has been one of the most consistent goal-scorers for Arsenal in recent years and the Gunners will again have high hopes from the Englishman in their bid to dethrone Manchester City.
