European champions Real Madrid CF are set to face Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, while Premier League winners Manchester City have been drawn into Group G alongside Moroccan club Wydad, UAE’s Al Ain, and Italian heavyweights Juventus in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, following the tournament’s 32-team draw in Miami, USA. Meanwhile, Chelsea will compete in Group D against Brazil’s Flamengo, Tunisia’s Esperance Sportive de Tunis, and Mexican side Club Leon.
In Group H, CF Pachuca of Mexico will face Austria’s FC Salzburg, while Group A features Brazil’s SE Palmeiras taking on FC Porto, Egyptian giants Al Ahly FC, and Inter Miami CF. Argentina’s CA River Plate has been placed in Group E alongside Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds, Mexico’s CF Monterrey, and Italy’s Inter Milan. Meanwhile, Group C promises exciting clashes with German powerhouse FC Bayern München, OFC representatives Auckland City FC, Argentina’s CA Boca Juniors, and Portugal’s SL Benfica.
Group B features a thrilling mix, including European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético de Madrid, Copa Libertadores champions Botafogo, and the USA’s Seattle Sounders FC. Meanwhile, Group F showcases Brazil’s Fluminense FC alongside Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, Korea Republic’s Ulsan Hyundai, and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
The tournament’s format sees eight groups of four teams playing a round-robin stage, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout rounds. The competition kicks off at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on June 15, 2025, and concludes with the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13, 2025.
The expanded Club World Cup draw unfolded over 90 minutes at two Miami locations, showcasing a new trophy and including a video address from incoming U.S. President Donald Trump, while Ivanka Trump had the honor of selecting the first team.
