Erling Haaland has made an explosive start to the Premier League season, netting an impressive 10 goals in just five matches. His standout performances include sensational hat-tricks against Ipswich Town and West Ham United, showcasing his remarkable scoring ability and reaffirming his status as one of the league’s most lethal strikers.

The Norwegian was on target in Man City’s entertaining 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

He was put through by an immaculate through ball Savinho and finished with an unorthodox finish to put the defending champions in front.

With this goal, Halaand matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s milestone, becoming the quickest player to reach 100 goals for a European club, doing so in 105 matches. Ronaldo also reached his century in 105 matches while playing for Real Madrid.

Halaand is ahead of the likes of Luis Suarez (FC Barcelona) who scored his century in 120 matches and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG) who did so in 124 matches.

The 24-year-old also holds the record for being the fastest player to reach 10, 25, and 50 Premier League goals, accomplishing these milestones in just six, 19, and 48 matches, respectively. He also became the quickest player to hit 25 Champions League goals, achieving this feat in 20 appearances.

His five goals against Leipzig in 2023 matched the record for the most goals scored in a single Champions League match, a record he shares with Messi and Adriano.

Halaand’s goals in each  competition for Man City

Since his breakout at Austrian side RB Salzburg in the 2019/20 season, Erling Haaland has maintained an incredible goal-per-game ratio, which he has continued at Manchester City.

He boasts 73 goals in 71 Premier League matches, winning the Golden Boot in both of his full seasons and leading the scoring charts again early this season with hat-tricks against Ipswich Town and West Ham United, along with a brace against Brentford.

In the UEFA Champions League, he has netted 18 times in 21 appearances for City, contributing to an impressive career total of 41 goals in 40 matches, already placing him among the top 20 scorers in the competition’s history.

His tally also includes eight goals in the FA Cup and one in the League Cup.

Since joining in the summer of 2022 for €60 million, Haaland has helped City secure two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup.
