Cristiano Ronaldo Misses Out a Million Dollars After Failing in Mr. Beast YouTube Challenge
Cristiano Ronaldo, nearing retirement, has embarked on a record-breaking new venture on YouTube. The 39-year-old recently teamed up with MrBeast for a feature on his channel. The duo reunited once more, this time competing against each other in a football challenge.
Al Nassr captain participated in a challenge organized by American YouTube star. The 39-year-old faced off against Khalid, a subscriber of MrBeast’s channel. Dubbed “the ultimate football phenomenon,” the Portuguese icon took to the field wearing his Al Nassr jersey, customized with “MrBeast” on the back.
MrBeast, who recently featured as a guest on Ronaldo’s YouTube channel, offered a $1 million prize to the first participant to hit three targets positioned along the goal. Before the challenge began, MrBeast reminded Ronaldo and Khalid that an audience of 100 million was tuning in to watch.
“I put my lucky shirt with MrBeast,” a smiling Ronaldo said. A visibly nervous Khalid, dressed in the Al Nassr away jersey, admitted before the challenge, “I’m his [Ronaldo’s] biggest fan.”
When MrBeast asked Khalid about his chances of defeating Ronaldo, he confidently replied, “Honestly, I think it’s 50-50,” prompting Ronaldo to respond with a smile, “I like his confidence.”

In an unexpected outcome, Khalid, the fan, triumphed in the challenge, decisively outpacing Ronaldo by hitting three of the five targets, while the Portuguese star missed all his attempts. Despite the loss, the mood stayed upbeat, with Ronaldo showing support for Khalid, acknowledging the transformative impact the prize could have on his life.
Ronaldo’s career is a testament to greatness, with five Ballon d’Or awards, a record three UEFA Men’s Player of the Year accolades, and four European Golden Shoes. He has also been named FIFA’s World Player of the Year five times, a European record. His impressive collection of 33 trophies includes seven domestic league titles, five Champions League victories, the European Championship, and the Nations League.
In August 2024, Ronaldo extended his digital reach by launching a YouTube channel, surprising fans who already follow him in massive numbers on X, Facebook, and Instagram. The channel offers fans an exclusive insight into Ronaldo’s business ventures, personal life, family, nutrition, matchday routines, and recovery process after games. The initial videos on his channel show how he deals with misfortunes on and off the pitch, life with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, and how he handles the pressure of being one of the most loved and influential superstars.
Ronaldo’s YouTube channel, UR. Cristiano, quickly captured the attention of fans worldwide, setting a remarkable record by reaching 1 million subscribers faster than anyone else. Additionally, he shattered the previous record for receiving the Golden YouTube Play Button (10 million subscribers), achieving it in just 24 hours—far outpacing the previous fastest, Hamster Kombat, who took seven days.
