Hollywood actor Brad Pitt reportedly ‘fainted’ while attending the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where he was on set filming scenes for his upcoming Formula 1 movie ahead of the race.
Pitt has been present at several races this season, shooting on location for the film, which is co-produced by seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton and features rising English star Damson Idris.
Following George Russell’s pole position at the Las Vegas race, Brad Pitt stepped onto the track to film a scene as his character, Sonny Hayes. Fan-captured footage showed Pitt limping from the crash site before collapsing onto a padded mat. In response, the fictional team APX GP, which Pitt’s character competes for, released a playful statement about the incident.
The film is being directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for helming the Tom Cruise hit Top Gun: Maverick, with a cast that includes Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia.
Meanwhile, Hamilton has been working closely with the filmmakers to ensure the movie’s authenticity. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently revealed that Hamilton’s input has led to “more costs” due to the adjustments they’ve had to make.
“Everything that he has brought to this movie, I cannot even express our thanks to him and all the folks from F1 who made this all possible,” Bruckheimer said.” The authenticity that he brings, we just cannot imagine what goes into what a driver does and what the sport brings to an audience.
