The Indian Premium League(IPL) auction will take place from November 24 to 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and feature 574 players. For the first time, fifteen Jammu and Kashmir players are being considered for the auction.
Pacer Umran Malik and all-rounder Abdul Samad have already played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last editions, and are expected to retain their spot in the franchise.
Rasikh Salam, right arm fast medium bowler from Jammu and Kashmir, had previously played IPL and lately demonstrated outstanding performance as a member of India’s A team.
Malik has played 26 matches in his IPL career picking up 29 wickets with the best figures of 5/25 against Gujrat Titans in IPL 2022. In the edition of 2022 alone, he picked 22 wickets with an average of 20.18 and clocked 156.9kmph in that tournament. His electrifying fast bowling earned him his maiden call-up for Team India where he took 13 wickets in 10 ODIs and 11 wickets in 8 T20Is.
