T20 World Cup Preview, Australia Squad, Schedule, Key Players, and History at the Event
ICC Men’s World Cup will feature 20 teams competing from June 1 to 29,2024 hosted by the USA and the West Indies. The tournament will follow the Super 8 format after the opening Group Stage matches.
Australia, who won the event for the first time in 2021, will be keen to add to their trophy cabinet.
Australia are placed itself in Group B along with England, Namibia, Scotland and Oman.

Mitchell Marsh (Captain):
Australian T20I captain, ODI vice-captain Mitchell Marsh has also served as Test vice-captain. Marsh has won multiple ICC tournaments: the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the 2023 Cricket World Cup and the 2021 T20 World Cup.
His all round capabilities especially with the bat will hold key to an Aussie success.
Pat Cummins:
Regarded as all-time great fast bowler in Test cricket and one of the finest fast bowlers of his generation Cummins captained Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2024 Indian Premier League. Handy lower-order batsman been a member of the Australian team won the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, and was the winning captain of the 2021–23 ICC World Test Championship and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Cummins will form the backbone of a bowling line up that will be eager to prove itself.
Glenn Maxwell:
The all-rounder Maxwell is known for his sometimes unorthodox batting and bowls right arm off-break deliveries. He has also been part of the Australian squads that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the 2023 Cricket World Cup, and the 2021 T20 World Cup. His prowess is showcased in unconventional shots like reverse sweeps and pulls often making it hard to set fields that cover all of his scoring areas.
