Rasikh Salam Talks About Sharing Dressing Room With Virat Kohli After 6 Crore IPL Pick

Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Rasikh Salam was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹6 crores during the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction on Sunday. During the auction, he received offers from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, with whom he had taken nine wickets in eight matches last season. Delhi Capitals attempted to exercise the ‘Right to Match'(RTM) option, but Royal Challengers Bangalore emerged victorious in the bidding.

Rasikh claimed nine wickets in four matches at an average of 10.33 during the recently finished ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. He made his IPL debut in 2019 with the Mumbai Indians (MI) his first contract, valued at INR 20 lakh. However, the Kulgam-born pacer secured his place in the RCB squad for a whopping INR 6 crore and he is set to feature in the IPL for the fourth time.

He played 11 matches in his IPL career grabbing 9 wickets with his best bowling figures of 3/34 against Mumbai Indians. Pacer expressed his excitement to join RCB camp for the upcoming edition of the IPL, he also thanked the franchise for showing trust in him. Salam said that he is excited to share the dressing room with Virat Bhaya.
