The uncertainty over the venues for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 in India seems to be nearing a resolution. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suggested the UAE as a neutral location.

The search for a neutral venue started after both the PCB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to host the Champions Trophy 2025 using a ‘hybrid’ model.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) also approved the agreement for three years, which means Pakistan will play their group matches at a neutral venue during the 2026 T20 World Cup.

The highly awaited India vs Pakistan group match is set for Sunday, February 23, in Dubai. India will play against Bangladesh on February 20 and New Zealand on March 2, which will take place in Dubai.

Pakistan, the defending champions, will kick off their campaign on February 19 against New Zealand in Karachi. They will play their final group-stage game against Bangladesh on February 27 in Rawalpindi.

PCB spokesperson Amir Mir, in a statement about the Champions Trophy, said “UAE was finalized as the venue after PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with the Emirates Cricket Board chairman Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan,” PCB spokesman Amir Mir said in a statement on Sunday.

Group A: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and New Zealand.
Group B: Afghanistan, Australia, England and South Africa.
