Reportedly there will be changes in the Indian Premier League (IPL) windows for editions of 2025, 2026, and 2027. ESPN Cricinfo reported that IPL 2025 may start from March 14. Usually, BCCI organizes the IPL from the end of March but BCCI recently sent an e-mail to all the franchise owners stating that the IPL 2025 will be on 14th March.
The count of matches will be the same, BCCI reportedly discussed with other boards and confirmed the availability of foreign players for the next three seasons of the IPL. The Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled in Pakistan from 19th February to 9th March, the players will travel from Pakistan to India for the cash-rich league.
However, franchise owners of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are worried about the possible clash of the two T-20 leagues and recently they raised the issue with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to confirm the availability of foreign players for the PSL. Franchise owners are worried that foreign players will pick IPL over PSL.
IPL 2025 will run from March 14 to May 25 and the 2026 season will be played between March 15 and May 31, while the 2027 season will be between March 14 and May 30.
