India will play England in the semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue will look to lift the trophy for the first time since the inaugural tournament in 2007 in South Africa.
India are unbeaten in the tournament so far winning all its Group and Super 8 matches. They defeated USA, Ireland, and arch-rivals Pakistan in the Group stage. The game against Canada was abandoned due to rain.
In the Super 8, India saw off challenges from Bangladesh, Australia, and Afghanistan to book their place in the final four.
England on the other hand, had a disappointing start to the tournament with their first game against Scotland washed out followed by a defeat at the hands of Australia. They beat Oman and Namibia in their final two games to reach the Super 8 stage.
The Three Lions defeated the hosts USA and West Indies in Super 8 and lost to finalists South Africa in the second round. The four points were enough to set up a semi-final clash against India.
India will go into the game as favorites but will be aware of the quality of the English side.
