Referring to Fakhar Zaman, Javed called him a “match winner” and promised that he’ll be selected if he reclaims his fitness, “Fakhar Zaman is a key player for Pakistan, and once he’s fully fit, he will definitely play,” he highlighted.

Aqib described his tactics for team coordination by highlighting the significance of the synergy between the captain, coaches, and team management. “The selection committee does not finalize a squad without the consent of the captain and the coach. We are working collectively to pick the best available players,” he stated.

Aqib Javed who has more than 22 years of experience in coaching aims to transform the Pakistan ODI team for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 scheduled for February 19 to 9 March. “There is still over a year left for the next T20 World Cup, so changes will be introduced.
