BCCI has officially announced that the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025 due to security concerns. Recently, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that the “hybrid model” is not even an option for them. India hasn’t confirmed their participation in the tournament, the tensions build up between the two boards as sources indicate that PCB will withdraw from the tournament if ICC proposes the hybrid model.
Rumors were that the ICC may shift the entire tournament to South Africa but the situation took an exciting turn when the International Cricket Council (ICC) posted a new promotional video for the Champions Trophy 2025 confirming Pakistan as the host for the ICC event. In the video, ICC showed Sri Lanka hosting the 2027 Champions Trophy.
