Rajasthan Royals IPL Playoffs Record: How Many Times RR Have Won the IPL?

Chasing the target of 173, Rajasthan Royals brushed aside Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator match of Indian Premier League 2024. They will now face Sunrisers Hyderabad for a place in the final next.

In the inaugural edition of the IPL under the captaincy of Shane Warne, winning both matches of semi-final and final format Rajasthan Royals were the first to lift the Indian Premier League trophy. They also been the runners-up of the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 under Rahul Dravid’s captaincy, and the runners-up of the 2022 Indian Premier League under the captaincy of Sanju Samson.

RR Playoffs Record

2008 – Ushered as the First winner in the debut year of Indian Premier League with a 3 wicket win against Chennai Super Kings.

2013 – They went out in the Qualifier 2 losing by 4 wickets to Mumbai Indians.

2015 – This time beaten in the Eliminator by 71 runs by Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

2018 – After getting banned Rajasthan Royals for two years (2016, 2017) they returned in the 2018 season and found themselves again in the Eliminator but lost by 25 runs to Kolkata Knight Riders.

2022 -For the first time since their appearance in the debut year of the league (2008), they made it to Finals but were beaten by Gujarat Titans by 7 wickets

Under Sanju Samson the team has another shot at reaching the final, but must overcome a strong SRH side. SRH vs RR will take place on May 24 at 7:30 in Chennai.

A win for Rajasthan Royals will mean a third final in franchise history as they look to add to their solitary IPL title.
