Who is Leading The WNBA PPG, Rebounds and Assists So Far?

The WNBA season has been nothing short of spectacular so far with the league already smashing viewership and attendance records.

This is the second season of the WNBA during which each team will play 40 games. The scheduling of the Paris Olympics games has resulted in the league squeezing the games into a narrower window.

With the opening two weeks of the WNBA being full of drama and excitement, with the rookies taking center stage, we take a look at the season stats so far.

A’ja Wilson of Las Vegas Aces is leading the WNBA PPG stats this season. The veteran is averaging 28.8 points and 11.0 rebounds per game since the beginning of June.

Arike Ogunbowale of Dallas Wings comes in second with 24.0 and Kahleah Copper of Phoenix Mercury completes the top 3 with 22.6 points per game.

Napheesa Collier of Minnesota Lynx (20.9) and Breanna Stewart of New York Liberty (19.7) come fourth and fifth respectively.

Assists Per Game

Alyssa Thomas of Connecticut Sun leads the assists per game with an average of 8.0 per game. Thomas has been a productive player for Sun throughout her career. This season is proving to be no different with Sun sitting second in the Eastern Conference table with Thomas being an integral part of their season.

Natasha Cloud has also enjoyed a wonderful season in the WNBA and sits second in the Assists Per Game. The Phoenix Mercury veteran is averaging 7.1 assists per game this season. Sabrina Ionescu of New York Liberty sits third with 6.4 Assists Per Game this season.

Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark comes in fourth with an average of 6.6 Assists Per Game and Skylar Diggins-Smith of Seattle Storm completes the top 5 with an average of 6.1.

Rebounds Per Game

A’ja Wilson also tops the Rebounds Per Game chart this season averaging 11.6 rebounds per game. Angel Reese of Chicago Sky sits second with an average of 10.8 and Dearica Hamby of Los Angeles Sparks completes the top 3 with an average of 10.5.

Napheesa Collier of Minnesota Lynx sits fourth (10.4) and Alyssa Thomas of Connecticut Sun rounds off the top 5 (9.6).
